  Fell down the fountain pen &amp; ink rabbit hole 2 years ago. &nbsp;I only got into journaling as a way to use all pens and alllll the inks 😂 but now I’m deep into that with all the planners, journals, and covers!!!! Love all your videos. &nbsp;Thanks for sharing your excitement and time with us all! The content you create is a blessing!

  I have to let you know that your voice is my &quot;safe place&quot;, if you can get what I mean. I have many times put on one of your (long )videos when my life&apos;s high levels of &nbsp;stress are knocking my door. Thank you for the calmness and peace you feed my soul.   Salix is an iron gall ink. That could be the problem. I don&apos;t use iron gall inks so I don&apos;t know that much about them but I believe they can be problematic. I would only use them in cheaper, wetter pens and don&apos;t let them dry out. The good news is modern iron gall wont ruin your pen. Soak in in pen flush and rinse it thoroughly and you should be fine. Love your videos. Been in the hobby many years and watching your journey thru this rabbit hole just makes me happy😁

  I would suggest just soaking your Pilot VP nib in a jam jar of water overnight and then use a bulb syringe or syringe to shoot water through the nib. You may need to repeat the process the next night if it doesn’t clear. If you’re using archival inks, either use larger nibs or never let them dry out in smaller nibs.

  Fountain Pen obsessed over here. There&apos;s a really good fountain pen flush recipe that&apos;s 10:1 Water to Ammonia with a few drops of dish soap. I use that sometimes. But usually just a few drops of soap and water works just fine. I like to use a bulb syringe (like for infants noses) to push water through more stubborn situations. I find I also get clogs with high sheen colors, so I will just swirl the whole pen in water and it would start writing again. It&apos;s also common to get clogs with certain nibs and permanent inks. I don&apos;t let that sway me though. Certain pens are better with certain inks, sometimes it takes time to find the best combo.

  Please keep making fountain pen content ! I love how you are not snobbish about them. I bought the hongdian n12 because of you and i appreciate how your collection has more budget friendly pens than others. Honestly, I enjoy this content

  Michelle - I really hope you continue the fountain pen content, along with the notebooks and stationery! My fountain pen journey started early 2025, and as you showed the Kakunos, Jinhao 10s, TWSBIs etc. I tried them too! I even penabled my mom fairly quickly, so now we share this hobby! We have all our starter and Chinese pens as treasured parts of our collections, with all the fun memories attached! Thanks for the great recommendations and videos along the way :)

  I use like one drop of dish soap (or less, an itty bitty amount) in warm-ish water in my ultra sonic cleaner when i get &quot;crusty&quot; pens. If you have one for your jewelry, it is a game changer for cleaning nibs! Alternatively, you can look into some pen flush to make sure that you&apos;re clearing any &quot;gunk&quot; out of the feed. You can totally reuse pen flush as well!
