This influenced me! I just got into fountain pens and have been on the fence about twisbi. I think I’ll get the rootbeer as my first twisbi

I really love my Slate Blue Onyx. I did a review on that one a little while back and still have it inked regularly. TWSBI is really a fun brand!

The Pastel Pink pen is so cute!!!! I love the ink you've paired with it. I too wish TWSBI would come out with a standard line pink. So many folks have been raving about it, you'd think they'd get the hint! I really like the Sakura pen they've done too, which is also not available in the US. 😢

TWSBI's are such good workhorse pens in my opinion. I just have to remember to not ink it all the way! I get bored with the ink about halfway through and getting that far in the ink takes so long! lol

Some really beautiful combinations you've got there! And a good reminder for me to try out a few inks from Penultimate, which I haven't had a chance to use yet. I have a bottle of Manyo Haha and always forget about it because I'm afraid that it's going to be too pale, but the colors are so wonderfully clean... they do a great job 🙂 Excellent video as always, Julia!

The Wet Pen’s Blackberry ink was restocked in his drop this week, so it is available! I just picked it up. 😊 My current favorite is the Fluorite & Bronze inked with BPC’s Washed Lavender….I’m obsessed with it this month 💕

Lovely ink colors, preferably the darker toned and atmospheric ones! I am not a blue ink person at all, unless it is somewhat darker, gloomy, and has weather within it. I am awaiting an order of Robert Oster Thunderstorm ink. Atmospheric inks really pull at me, and you know I love my brown inks. Brown does not feel manufactured or temporary. It feels inherited. But a complex brown, a storm-dark blue-black, or a bruised gray-black seems to say, “Something happened here. Someone sat at this desk before you. This page has a history.”
Brown carries the emotional weight of things that have aged without becoming worthless. Old walnut furniture. Leather book spines. Pipe tobacco. Tea stains. Wooden floorboards. Faded correspondence. The darkened edges of a document kept inside a drawer for generations. It is the color of use, memory, and survival.

I will be creating a YouTube channel, The Ink Chamber, and discussing how I see rooms, chambers, furniture, books, etc within ink bottles. Every ink contains a chamber. A room. Weather.
A flat ink gives you a surface.
An atmospheric ink gives you depth.
A brown ink might open into a walnut-paneled chamber with a banker’s lamp burning on a heavy desk. A dark gray-blue might reveal tall windows streaked with rain. A sepia-black ink might lead downward into an archive where names have been crossed out but never entirely erased. A wine-dark ink might hold a locked cabinet, a sealed letter, or the remains of an old family argument.
When an ink moves from a lighter brown to a darker pool at the end of a stroke, the writing acquires architecture. The pale areas resemble worn wood or faded parchment. The darker regions become corners, doorways, and shadows beneath furniture. The written line no longer appears mechanically uniform. It appears aged, touched, and inhabited.

Great pairings! My personal favorite of my own is my TWSBI Root Beer with 1.1 stub and Jacques Herbin caroube de Chypre. The shade is gorgeous and the shimmer adds that extra fun. ❤
As for a great pigmented pink in a fuchsia color, I recently found Octopus Inks Write and Draw in Pink Owl. It is a permanent ink and safe for fountain pens. I absolutely love it. It is a pop of bright pink, juicy flow, and looks stunning. I have that one in a LAMY Safari, Pink Cliff with a fine nib and it writes beautifully. I got mine at Bottle and Plume.
