When someone buys one of those homes. Do they or do they not own the land it is on? I was under the impression they do not own the beach to keep people off it. When living that close to the ocean how do they believe the ocean will never take over their home is beyond me.

Didn't know any homes on the beach survived the Palisade fire and now with the surf!!! Always wondered how you can put (build) so much weight on 'sand' row after row and expect it to last forever.
