People approach you when you/re eating alone? I can barely get the waiter to come back. 🤣🍵

Preferable to having a bunch of fake, lying, one foot in-one foot out "friends" around tbh. Peace is priceless.

I genuinely have no IRL friends. I’m autistic so I guess that explains half of it. Being alone is cool when it’s voluntary, but being alone against your will genuinely sucks. I think people conflate loneliness and being alone a lot but I think that’s the distinction for me. It’s a matter of will/agency or whatever. Also, I TOTALLY understand the feeling of alienation in crowds b/c the experience often underscores all the things I am missing and want, which reinforces the desire to be alone. It’s a vicious cycle lol

I was raised to aim for " a room of one's own". I got it.

I’ve always loved living and being alone. I’m currently living alone in the city. ☺️
It’s so peaceful, my time and space are completely mine , and I can do whatever I want, whenever I want.

It was quite stigmatized while I was growing up, so it’s nice that it’s more normalized now, and other people are realizing how nice it is.

As a disabled individual. I enjoy watching living alone vlogs as having a disability is very lonely and isolating and it is nice to watch people live comfortably and cosily. I would like to mention two living alone channels I really enjoy. One is morenikeji vlogs. She is from Nigeria and as someone from the UK who is told Africa is impoverished, it"s nice seeing a person live a cosy normal life. The second is plan :D I love her solo camping videos as she is hyper-organised and very good at planning and executing day trips

1:47 Lol there's a whole episode of Gilmore Girls where Rory's habit of wearing headphones and reading while she eats lunch is deemed suspiciously antisocial by the school administrators 😂

Having roommates is the worst. I would rather be with my Parents if I could not afford to live alone.

I love it. Being around people or living with people is SO overrated.😅 yes from time to time, a nice time with people is cool. But for the most part, people are a trip. Takes more energy than it gives, for the most part imo.

I wish I could live alone. Our country has a problem with too many jobs and enough houses for the crap economy of the 70's and 80's. So now, an apartment might go up once in a while, and 200 people are viewing it. There should not be anything wrong with living alone, we should aspire to it.

Also, I do see loads of Chinese and Japanese female YouTubers making videos about living alone. Very satisfying videos. And I am envious of Chinese apartments costing a few hundred a month. Lonlimness sounds nice. Been stuck living for affordability from people you go out of your way to avoid sucks. Like, can I use the kitchen now etc...

I'd love it if these people who can afford to live alone would start making content about what they do to be able to afford such a luxury!
