  I would imagine most schools still teach World History as a separate course from U.S. History.

  American schools and universities break history dowen into different types and eras, and specialties when you get to a college/university.

  I think it&apos;s a fairly accurate representation of the suburban middle class high schools that I know. That means, in general, that once you&apos;re inside, you won&apos;t be able to tell what state it&apos;s in. They all tend to look like fairly generic schools and school classrooms. Your only clues are probably going to come from the accents and the demographic distribution of the students.<br><br>At the beginning, he mentions that this is Chapel Hill North Carolina. But it could easily be hundreds of other suburban areas.

  This public school is Chapel Hill High School in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. It’s also consistently ranked as the best school academically in the state.

  I’m from the US, back when I was in school ,we have American history and world history, two different classes.

  He has ten APs?! &nbsp;My school didn’t even offer that many. &nbsp;I recall three, of which I took two (AP English and AP US History), but they were only for seniors. &nbsp;And in those days, a phone meant a pay phone, so you always carried change in case you needed to use a phone.

  (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_zMj3TPfrs&amp;t=750">12:30</a>) I&apos;m an AP World History teacher at an early college in the U.S., and I have taught for 9 years. Here, &nbsp;students are required to take World Geography, World History, U.S. History, Government, and Economics, which is why we graduate by the time they&apos;re 18. In the U.K., courses like World Geography and History (among others) are &quot;electives&quot; in secondary school and not required, which is why you all graduate by the age of 16. Correct me if I&apos;m mistaken.

  Just so you understand AP classes are College/university credit courses. &nbsp;They won&apos;t need to take these in college. This kid with 10 AP classes is exceptional. He will go to college not needing to take 1 or even 1.5 years of his 4 years. He can graduate in 2.5 or 3 years and save a lot of money.
