  What I love about this movie is that most people missed the part where Miranda only smiled "once" when someone did something right, and at the end of the movie she smiled at Andy, quite a nice part

  I don't feel bad for Andy's friends or boyfriend, they're all adults, they should know how hard it is to get into the line of work you want and if they don't then they are privileged enough to not have to go through that struggle.  Andy made it clear she was going to work there for one year so they should have supported her for that one year but instead they berated her, the only mature person in that friend group was the other guy.

  One thing I absolutely loved is that Miranda NEVER ONCE raises her voice or yells. She speaks in a soft voice yet has a terrifying demeanor. Apparently that’s something people do because it requires you to listen carefully. I’ve worked with people like this before and it’s crazy how stressful it can be.

  I think people miss the point in Stanley Tucci&apos;s speech, he talks about using the magazine as a beacon of hope from the homophobia he is facing at home. Most people see fashion as futility and something for shallow people, but some real smart people work in the industry (not to say i agree with the treatment these characters give to Andy). It takes work and effort like any corporate jobs, change Runaway to a tech company and the story works just fine.

  My problem with Nate is not that he is against her job cause I get it, I don’t even hate him. But I believe Andy found some things about herself at Runaway, like confidence, style, ambition and hard work, she looks like a driven person. He just isn’t, he is not as committed to his job even though his industry is as cutthroat as hers, he doesn&apos;t get her effort and dedication because he himself lacks it. Him saying he misses the old clothes even though she seems more confident and happy with her new style because he misses her old self... Miranda or not, I believe they are just too different.
