  At 53, I feel blessed to be born when I was.  Eddie Van Halen was a big part of my childhood.

  I'm a grown man and I'm almost tearing up I really miss him. Why did we have to lose him. He was the greatest. I saw him five times in concert. And was amazed every time at his unbelievable ability to play. God is taking care of you now my friend RIP.

  Im 59. So blessed to have watched THE GOAT leave us all in awe as he would solo. Many tours I was only a few feet away down by the stage. Only 2 deaths in my life I cried hard..my father and Eddie.

  I’m an 80’s child, didn’t discover VH till 1980 when I was 14. The city I grew up near had a lame ass radio station they only played top 40 or Journey & Foreigner. The first time VH played there the night of the show that radio station played nothing but VH the entire night. That was the first time I had heard VH. I became the Biggest VH fan from that point forward and I still am at the ripe young age of 60. Thank you EVH you were a gift from God.

  Back in 1979 my family owned a house 3 doors up the street from The Van Halens. Most people dont know that Ed and Al lived with their parents until the early 80s. We used to walk by the alley and see Ed in the garage. Just another day in Pasadena.

  Van Halen was my first concert in '82, the Diver Down tour, when I was in 7th grade and it changed something in me. I was completely mesmerized by him. During his solo, with all the crazy sounds he was creating and the awesome lighting effects, I swear he looked like some kind of wizard up there. I went on to see him 5 more times after that and he's been my favorite since that first show. I died a little inside when we lost him and probably cried every day for 2 weeks. Not since SRV had I been so affected by a death.

  Those first 5 VH albums got me through my sad and very lonely teenage years. I'm almost 58 yrs old now, and I still listen as my favorite and comfort music. God Bless you Edward! Thank You! ❤❤❤
