The Music Video was the most expensive, ever made, when it came out in 1992 at 1.5 Mio Dollars, that's probably one of the most well-known facts, about it

I really do love the fact that you blend in your thoughts with text instead of interrupting a geat song/video every 10 seconds or so!

The girl is Stephanie Seymour. Axl saw her in a magazine (she's a model) and asked to hire her to be in the Don't Cry video. They became a real couple shortly after they met and she also appeared in this video.

She already had a little boy when they met and Axl, who always wanted to have a family, became very attached to him and felt like a father to him. What hurt him the most when they broke up was to never get to see him again.

A great part of the video for Estranged is about this relationship. In the beginning, you can see Axl sleeping in the (empty) kid's room and during the video, you can see a few clips of him together with the kid.

A masterpiece that still gives me chills. For me the best from Guns N' Roses.

Notice how the church was full during the wedding and almost empty during the funeral. Just goes to show you that people are with you when things are going well and disappear when things go bad. Another great reaction.

What you have to understand is that the whole song is Axel's memory, which he has when he falls asleep, or we understand at the end what really happened. The first guitar solo represents sadness, the second is despair, the final guitar solo is cries of tears.

It's part of a unofficial trilogy together with "Don't cry" and "Estranged". The story is their take on Del James's short story "Without you".

Fun part - Slash's first solo, watch the videography and then realize this was long before drones existed. Those were some hard shots to get. Top-notch camera crew.

"Sweet Child O' Mine", "Patience", "Welcome To The Jungle", "Paradise City", "Civil War", "Don't Cry", "You Could Be Mine" and "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" are great Guns N' Roses songs for you to react to.
