  Morrissey is enormously popular in Latin America and especially Mexico. Los Angeles even has a Morrissey Day due to his popularity amongst the Latino population there (Nov. 10).

  I've always got the impression that morrissey is a professional contrarian. If he was in a room of cure fans he say he hates the cure and if he was in a room full of people who dont like the cure he would say he loves the cure. I think he gets a thrill out of getting people upset.
