  Was in the show cunk on earth but her crying at finding out nukes are in fact real and still exist was morbidly hilarious yet still very relatable.

  Cunk (or her mate Paul in many cases) is holding up a mirror to the audience. We are the butt of the joke. Our stupidity, ignorance and irrationality is being relentlessly skewered every minute of every episode. And I have to say, the writers behind Morgan&apos;s character really do know their stuff. A lot of the insights she comes out with through her questions and narrative are just utterly brilliant. They clearly know a lot about the topics they&apos;re pretending to be relentlessly ignorant about, and I suspect Morgan is the same.

  im confused about the amount of people in the comments not getting that the video essay is saying that cunk&apos;s character is a satirical one. was that not the main thesis of the video? that the show creates a clever exploration and critique of anti-intellectualism through the satirical use of a naive and anti-intellectual character?

  phD student here, I love cunk, some of her questions might seem dumb but they are sometimes scientific questions that scientist ask themselves but in a more funny way

  In my opinion, it&apos;s not that intellectuals are elitists, but rather that elitists like to consider themselves intellectuals; and when both tend to look and sound the same, it becomes difficult to distinguish between the two. To combat this, I often end my sentences with unexpected, humorous exclamations. SHABOINGLE!

  I&apos;ve never liked debating whether the world is more like <i>1984</i> or <i>Brave New World</i> because to me the debate obfuscates the fact that both styles of control are being used on us simultaneously.

  I feel like the act of asking questions about the world - even stupid questions - is inherently a sign of curiosity and thus can&apos;t be considered anti-intellectual.
