  I know lots of baseball fans who watch games on mute while listening on the radio. Radio commentators are more likely to be local, know the team better and be more invested. Most teams have an iconic "voice of the..." (insert team name). That would be an interesting episode too.

  Baseball is a summer sport.  This is nothing like listening to a game on a summer day on the radio as your mind fills in the action that the announcers describe.  Plus, you can do other things.

  Radio is like a story being told and you create the images with your mind. I grew up with Vin Scully so I am partial to a radio game myself. But it is kind of hard to beat actually seeing the game.

  The Coyotes (NHL) Moved to Utah when no one wanted to gift them a new stadium. They were poor step-child of The Suns(NBA), The Diamonbacks and Arizona State University. The Coyotes came here from Winnepeg, Manitoba, Canada and now are in Utah.

  My Dad is from the Boston area and is a huge Red Sox fan, while my Mom was born and raised in New York as a Yankees fan. Baseball season scared me when I was a kid

  The Giants have a culture of dubbing players “Forever Giants,” beloved players that the fanbase remembers long after they’ve left the team or retired. Even though the Giants have seen many Hall of Fame players, a huge amount of “Forever Giants” are guys that only played minor roles on the team or were only here a year or two. Players like Travis Ishikawa, Gregor Blanco, Angel Pagan, and Joaquin Arias are largely forgotten by the MLB, but to Giants fans they’re living legends and baseball royalty. The teams from the “Even Years” of 2010, 2012, and 2014 were built almost completely on homegrown players that came up through the Giants’ farm system instead of just signing big superstar free agents. Players like Madison Bumgarner, Buster Posey, Pablo Sandoval, and Brandon Crawford were world champs built in our own house, and Tim Lincecum is San Francisco’s darling.

  What &quot;baseball is better on radio&quot; means is the basic inferiority of television. TV makes the user sit down, shut up, and then feeds ALL of the senses to the victim viewer in a phony two-dimensional flat screen, while Radio allows the imagination to breathe and <b>imagine</b> those details. Baseball is better on Radio simply because EVERYTHING is.

  There is something soothing about listening to a game on the radio. Some of the all-time greatest calls are radio calls. And radio is where the legendary announcers (Harry Cary, Vin Scully, Bob Prince, etc) made their names.

  As a fan of the St.Louis Cardinals, the radio is the only way to enjoy a ball game its true. Relaxing, yet exciting when play gets going. Try it, youll see what were saying.
