  Corn is native to the Americas, so we&apos;ve probably imagined every possible way to consume it. &nbsp;What corn we dont eat ourselves we feed to livestock, making meat common and cheap.

  That is white gravy also called milk gravy. &nbsp;It is in the same family as the gravy for biscuits and gravy, only without the sausage. &nbsp;Catfish is a freshwater fish and the flavor is not overly fishy. &nbsp;It is a bony fish so it needs to be prepared correctly.

  The reason for the sweet and salty foods in the south.... IT GETS HOT. You need to replenish the sugars and salts and your body will just crave it.

  Most restaurant catfish is farm grown. Extremely &nbsp;mild, smaller 14” fish and delicious. Noodling is for much larger, wild, more mature catfish which tend not to be as delicately flavored. You’ll LOVE cornmeal fried catfish!!

  Chicken fried steak is a steak with coating like chicken. The gravy is similar to sausage gravy, it is white gravy but with different spices to flavor the gravy.
