  For anyone reading the comments: coming from a full time documentary wedding photographer please know you can choose someone that works in a super discrete way, avoids using flash and uses cameras with a silent shutter! We can even be your witnesses if you’re eloping ♥️ Just make sure to hire a documentary photographer and check their portfolio for lots of natural candid real moments that are unposed and people look comfortable. Have a videochat with the photographer before you book to make sure you get alonggg and they <b>get you</b> ♥️♥️ if you’re reading this and are gonna get married hope you have the BEST time! And congrats Leena and Craig 🥹

  As someone who, on a trip to Inverness (I live in the States) randomly ended up as a witness to the registry office &nbsp;wedding of an adorable American couple who had run off to Scotland to get married (I met them at breakfast in the B&amp;B we were all staying at; they were getting married that morning and they knew absolutely no one in Inverness so my fellow witness was a guy I&apos;d met in the Market Bar the night before who had foolishly given me his phone number), I heartily approve of a Scottish elopement. We all went out for crepes after!

  Oh, that is so true. Realising the depth of your relationship: the urge of storming into the hospital and shouting “Where’s my wife?” instead of girlfriend, wanting to take the responsibility for the other in case of emergency and vice versa, Yes, that was my reason for marrying in a rush when my partner was diagnosed with bone cancer. Fortunately the orthopaedist was an incompetent idiot who misdiagnosed &nbsp;(…). Married now for twelve years. All the best for you both!❤
