  I'm glad when Valve released the Steam Deck that didn't make hackers have to try to figure out how to jailbreak it and instead you can just do whatever you want with it from the get go.

  I still have my homebrew PSP with the original Pandora battery I made for it when I was a teen. I didn't know how to solder then, so my dad took a paperclip, heated it up on the stove and unbridged a connection that was labeled in the guides I was using. Those were good times.

  I got the fat one bundled with the Spider-Man movie on UMD. I played Ridge Racer and NFS so much. I remember flashing custom firmware and playing PS1 ISOs.

  The PSP, like the future PS Vita, was pure innovation. I still have them lying around here, and they still work. It&apos;s just that the servers for many online games were taken offline by Sony a long time ago. However, this was a great time.

  Back then I got a Motorola KRZR, tried flashing it and instantly bricked it the day it arrived. Spent all night learning how to enable recovery mode to eventually re-flash some shady patched bootloader and firmware. But it worked, and it had patched Java privileges so I could run untrusted applications or something. Obviously nothing I did was original research, I just followed tutorials and forum posts. Good times.
