  Newspapers used to publish several editions a day and included "Extras" from time to time. That's why in old movies you'd hear paperboys shouting, "Extra, extra, read all about it," as they hawked their papers. The advantage of a big city was that you could read today's news today.

  "Extra!  Extra!  Read all about it!"  Extras happened all the time.  No TV, limited radio.  Someone shouted "Extra" on the street, and you'd buy a cheaper, more immediate run of one paper or the other.

  This movie was probably the most dangerous movie to make because the Mafia actually got involved. The Italian community and the Mafia were upset when the book of the Godfather was released, thinking the Italians are gangsters something like that. So the producer had to show the script to the Mob of what the story is really about and give permission to make the movie. The Mob approved it and the movie did great.<br><br>Also the guy who played Luca was actually a real mobster in real life. So the original actor who was supposed to be Luca died from a stroke during production. The director was trying to find someone to play Luca that describes the character. Then he found this man roaming around the film set and chose him. The mobster had no acting experience and he was really nervous to remember his lines to meet the Don which helps the wedding scene from the movie.

  Many people miss a key point in that it was Sonny that got his father shot in the first place, when he interrupted his father in the meeting with the drug dealer it tipped the drug dealer off that Sonny (if he were Godfather) would have said yes to the partnership. If the drug dealer thought that the family was all behind the Don then killing him makes no sense, as it would never change anything, Sonny is the one who set the timeline in motion.

  Enzo the baker was the employee from that the baker guy from the beginning of the movie wanted to stay &amp; because he helped Michael &amp; Vito in the hospital he got treated very well.
