  LMAO - &nbsp;My first record of HBP was documented by a military dr in 1984, then 1985, &nbsp;then 1997,m &nbsp; but when I applied, &nbsp;the VA denied. &nbsp;Spinal fractures on a jump, &nbsp;VA denied. &nbsp; Now I am using an outside counsel and after 38 years, &nbsp;at 60% and heading to the 100%. &nbsp;The VA Comp and &amp; Pen are paid to deny.

  Denied Hypertension even with an appeal within the last week :( but may get type 2 diabetes still, that one is in progress. Already rated for PTSD

  I have high blood pressure and diabetes, &nbsp;but the VA has always told me that it is not service connected because it comes from me being overweight. I take medication for both

  I filed for this exact condition and was turned down by VA . &nbsp;I served four years active duty and twenty seven years in the air national guard. &nbsp;I was medically retired for diabetes but still denied any benefits

  Frank; thank you so much and i already did in the past a filling for my VA service connected medical issues and was approved !! now i will follow your advice and gather more evidence from my doctor and file new claims !! God bless !!!!

  Last year I put in for the High blood pressure and they gave me a comment back, that I was smoking and poor eating habits and that was the reason I was turn down. Didn&apos;t know what we were that bad during my time in service, we are talking back in the 70&apos;, 80&apos;s and 90&apos;s. Poor eating habits, I guess, I was eating the Mess hall. They are not helping us, they are just turning people down.
