I went to Dachau some years ago. I could have been with a group but chose to go through silently, respectfully, but so very, very sickened and horrified. Everything is written in 3 languages including English. After 2 hours, I returned to my car. Across the street were homes, businesses, yards. Yes, they had to know. I spent the next 2 hours in prayer and tears. And have never forgotten it. Thank you for showing this.

My uncle was there. He was one of the American soldiers who liberated Buchenwald, he was only 23. He lived to 92. Thanks uncle Bobby!🇺🇲

I heard this story years ago from my father in law. he was there in Patton's army. He passed away in 1991. Rest in peace hero.

American here: Thank you for sharing this, thank goodness for Patton and Eisenhower, forcing people to face the truth—in the U.S., we have politicians, media, etc., who go to great lengths to hide the truth—it’s shameful

It was General Eisenhower who ordered journalist with cameras to tour these camps and document everything. He believe, correctly, that years from 1945, there would be people who would deny the Holocaust ever happened.

You didn't mention the fact that the American soldiers made those same Germans bury the bodies. I found that very fitting for those Germans.
