We have a Class A diesel pusher too. I wanted a fifth wheel, but my wife insisted on a Class A. A couple of other advantages are after driving all day in your truck pulling any type of a towable when you finally stop and go back to your trailer if it's a rainy day you have to run through the rain to get back to your trailer. You don't have that problem in a drivable. Secondly after driving all day your towable is either super hot in the summer or freezing if you are in cold weather. In a drivable your interior is always climate controlled. Besides the bathroom you also have full access to the kitchen while driving. Many times my wife will go back and make us snacks while I am driving. Something I like is we can pull off the road into any good sized parking lot and I can have our car unhooked in under a minute. Then we are free to go to any local restaurant we want. We actually do this frequently. Then rehook the car and we are back on the road. Using this method my wife loves Starbucks stops. Lol!!!😂 And just between us, don't tell anyone, on some travel days my wife stays in her pajamas all day long. Lol!!! She never has to leave the coach.

Awesome video! You both present one of the best Pros/Cons video on RVing that I have seen. Excellent information and deeper, specific situational factors presented. Plus, you both just seem like nice folks! Happy and Safe Travels ❤

Very well done video, thank you. Full timers for 4 years pulling a 5'r. Budget was the primary deciding factor for us. We got a nearly new mid line 5th wheel and a late-model diesel pickup for at least $50k less than a 3-5 yr old diesel class A. We are happy with our decision, but I am not without envy when a rig like yours pulls in next to me. 😮 Hope to see you out there someday.

I found this video very insightful. I’m a single father of two who are becoming adults. I am 46 years old and looking to sell the 3,400sqft house and downsize my life. I am considering purchasing a Class A motor home. Maybe even as my primary residence. Your videos are very informative. Thank you.

I just retired this past year and we went full time in a 2015 Newmar 40'. So far we love it, we are stationary for the winter and it has been quite a learning experience. We wouldn't trade it so far, I expect we will have multiple experiences with various responses over the coming years but very cool for us. We do have propane furnace but since we are stationary for the winter we set a tank which keeps us from having to refill.

We considered a 5th wheel. After touring both we decided on a class A motorhome. We have never regretted our decision. We are part time and have been RVing since 2019. We recently upgraded from a 35’ to a 40’ motorhome. We’ll be traveling this year more than 6 month volunteering with NOMADS and touring the Maritimes.

Very good points. We're going to full time with a home base when we retire in 2 years and are in the 5th wheel vs Class A decision now. We've had a 5th wheel and currently have a gas Class A. We're deciding between a 42'-45' 5th wheel towed by a Volvo HDT and 40-45' DP Class A. We never thought the decision would be this hard.

Good Video. I am a part timer ( 4 years) that drives an American coach and I am very happy with our decision. Your points are right on. But I think we love the ride of diesel pusher over other types.
