Be brave! Leave your RV fail below so that others know they are not alone.

We have the same splendid combo washer and we’ve had the same issue. I’ve spoken with them and there is an easier way to clear the lint. Put a water hose in the outside vent. Push it as far down as you can get it. And run water into that vent. It will push the lint back into the washer and you can then cycle the washer to get it to push it out. Works like a charm. We do it about once a year.

2016 Allegro Bus 40AH. We nicknamed our Auqua Hot Aqua Warm when the mixing valve took a vacation. Value level system decided nose low was ideal. Dish washer decided to beep all night even though it was not used for days... Yeah, we still love it.

Drove off with the main awning deployed. Realized it about a block down the road. Pulled over and brought it in. Got lucky and didn't hit anything. Interesting video.

Wayne, your skills to mitigate or correct many of the problems in the rig, must play some major part in being able to maintain your positive outlook in the face of adversity. And you are a lesson to others that may aspire to be RV owners, "know what you're getting into". Both the good and the bad.

Thanks for the comprehensive 5 year show and tell. In general, negatives in life occur all the time so the best one can do is: don't panic, assess the facts, and deal with the issue as best one can. Simple "accidents or overlook's" (metal pan onto glass cook top/awning left extended, etc) are going to happen so try to make it a point to be extra careful and not in a hurry.

The biggest fail with our RV experience is personal ignorance concerning critical knowledge of "inter-relative systems and the physics involved". We'd had our MH (used, new to us) for 2 years and would occasionally drive 125 miles to the campground and back without issue. Starting our 3rd year we decided to drive our first (and sadly last up to this point) longer adventure from Phoenix to Florida. I checked tire pressure and looked the tires over every day before breaking camp. Everything going well for several days until Louisiana when on the same stretch of road, both of the 'screw-on flexible valve extensions' to each of the inner tires of the rear axle pair came loose. One left its tire completely, thankfully leaving a fair amount of air pressure but the other hung up and allowed all the air to slowly escape leaving us with that squirrel-y feeling in the seat that something was amiss so stop on the shoulder to investigate which I did. Pretty dangerous position so we limped a mile or so to next exit where we could air up the two tires. Lets just say the tire related complications that followed later in the trip by my near total ignorance involving what the rear duallys needed to work safely came into play. Hint: when 1/2 the necessary support of each pair is lost, the two tires that didn't lose air pressure are probably both compromised by being extremely overloaded and most likely will fail. Replace all 4 ASAP and don't look back.

My lesson: Way ahead of time, know your vehicle's 4-corner weight, mount quality-vetted brand replacements, pressurize according to weight, use solid valve stems and replace them upon each tire replacement, don't use a spare whose tread looks almost new but it's date code is out of date for safe usage, utilize reliable TPMS for early pressure drop warning, etc.

My fail complaint is the heat from the engine to the back cloths closet. 40AP 2019 Powerglide. The floor is flipping hot!!!! Too hot to touch. I learned the hard way, I was barefooted and ended up dancing around after getting burnt. ( not blister burnt)

RV manufacturers use sub standard material and practices and then we bounce them down our neglected roadways. One thing I did find on my current RV are slides without water or propane. It makes no sense to put water or propane in slideouts.

We have had many failures, too many to mention here, water leaks, the same ball valve you replaced, a couple of engine issues and the most recent failure was our front power blinds. The blinds issue was a floating ground, which was causing lots of intermittent dash area failures, turned out to be the grounding bolts were loose, they are located above the steering column and very difficult to get to. We have been on the road 3 1/2 years.

Wow sure makes me wonder if we should think twice about full time RV life in our future !

I also left the front door awning out and started to drive. Luckily the neighbor ran over and told me.

We had the bathroom cabinet door come open while driving and the contents fell on the faucet and turned the water on, the fresh water tank was empty when we arrived at our destination. We now turn the water pump off before driving and secure the bathroom cabinets with more than the magnetic latch.

I had a basement door open while driving. I got lucky and saw the door in the rear view mirror. Now I check that all the basement doors are locked before driving.
