  The presidents policy is what’s terrible, not the fed. The fed is raising rates to counter the ridiculous tariffs, tax cuts(deficit spending), and Iran war - all of which spike inflation. Now the fed has to choke the economy to counter these inflationary pressures

  &quot;Raising interest rates doesn&apos;t help with inflation caused by the Iran war&quot;<br><br>Yes it does. Higher interest rates reduce economic activity through the entire economy. People get less mortgages, start less new businesses, expand less, etc. All of that economic activity would have increased the demand for inputs like diesel, driving inflation.<br><br>Having people sit on their hands instead of do things slows inflation, even supply constraint inflation. Yeah, it sucks for the economy, but maybe we should&apos;ve considered that before starting a war in Iran for no reason.

  I had a friend who would tell me that when he shot arrows at a target he hit the bull’s-eye every time, I watched him shoot the arrow at the wall and then draw the target around where it landed

  When &quot;experts&quot; use a lot of big words without actually saying anything, that makes me think they are lying. &nbsp;The bond guy, while I appreciate different views, didn&apos;t actually say anything of substance to support his thesis.
