It’s more interesting that the pale, sickly Craftsman’s son is the Cucco Lady’s brother, given his father’s immense disappointment in him. The Cucco Lady, in contrast to bro, is ambitious, her livelihood revolving around a species she is  allergic to and, according to a Sheikah Stone, making trips all the way to the Lakeside Laboratory to further her knowledge of Cucco breeding. It makes sense - however tragic - the parents would see the boy as a bum,  and a letdown. Maybe the poor guy saw that fateful trip out to the Lost Woods as his own sojourn to make something of himself, like his sister’s trips to the lab.

I agree with the notion that the Poe Collector is most likely the guardhouse soldier who has a both a fascination with ghosts and a longing for more troubles in the world (as opposed to the more outlandish theories that he's either the Happy Mask Salesman or the Graveyard Boy), and I think I've figured out how the Poe Collector has a single red eye under his hood. When Link first meets the Poe Collector, he says to Link, "Oh...you are quite an energetic young man. You're brave and handsome, too. Heh heh heh...your name is Link, isn't it. Heh heh he...don't be surprised. I can read people's minds." And when completing the Happy Mask Shop side quest, the Mask Salesman says to Link about the Mask of Truth, "With this mask you can see into other people's minds..." The mask's item description likewise describes it as a "Mysterious mask to see into other people's minds." The game never gives us any reason to think that the Mask of Truth or any of the other masks owned by the salesman are one-of-a-kind items, so the guardhouse soldier could have possibly gotten his hands on a Mask of Truth in the seven years after Ganondorf took over and used it run his Ghost Shop as the hooded Poe Collector, lighting up its central eye to give himself a monocular appearance. As for how he could have acquired a Mask of Truth, maybe he got it from the Happy Mask Salesman somehow, like if the salesman used it as a means to barter his way out of Castle Town to escape to freedom when Ganondorf took over, bribing the traitorous guardhouse solider to let him go. Or perhaps the salesman merely left it behind in his haste to flee town when Ganondorf took over, with the soldier finding the mask abandoned in the ruins of the Mask Shop. But how it he got it is all just speculation on my part.

For the Mastercrafters Son: It's also possible that the medicine was for himself. No one else dared to go into the lost woods, especially since he's known as a 'bum'. So he ended up going himself. He ended up lost, as he didn't have a guiding spirit to lead him out of the forest. Which.. makes this even sadder than it already is. Though. What if Cojiro helped him outside? What if you, bringing Cojiro to him, gave him the strength to try one more time, and Cojiro, managed to lead him through it? I don't think it's stated ONLY fairies can guide you through the forest. I imagine animals can find their way through the forest. Maybe a stretch, but there is no Stalfos to be found where he used to be. Just his saw, which he might have left as sort of a way of closure.

It kind of feels like the Sages die, trying to take on each boss ahead of you, but by the fact Zelda herself is the seventh sage, death clearly isn't necessary, and as we see Ganondorf kill a sage in TP they can still die in their own right,  so it for sure feels like an awakening of power/ascension in some form

Don’t forget that Nabooru seems to be an anomaly. Most of the Gerudo are happy to work for Ganondorf, so being iron-knucklified might not be a punishment all the time.

I would love you to take this same format and apply it to the other dark Zelda games, like Majoras or Twilight. I bet theres a bunch of deep hidden lore in there. That being said, you got a new subscriber! I found this very enjoyable.
