The abrupt cut at the end of this video is because I went on a tangent and mentioned, offhand, another content creator fucking 18 year old fans whilst they themselves were in their mid 40's. It has come to my attention that the content creator mentioned was actually fucking a fresh out of their teens fan whilst they were only in their early 40's. Which is obviously very, very different.

I'd rather not deal with the potential backlash of appearing to suggest someone was doing anything illegally predatory or creepy with their fans when they were actually just being the regular, legal kind of predatory and creepy with them. As such, the tangent was cut.

- Karl

To be fair, Simone Biles, in her own autobiography, admits that her signature move The Biles is a variation on one of the most difficult, dangerous moves in gymnastics, which she injured herself practicing, and the only way she learned to compensate for the injury was to add more rotations and flips to force herself to land backwards on her good leg and not cause more damage. Her version of the move with the extra twists and flips is a legitimate safety hazard and dozens of gymnasts—by her count—have injured themselves and nearly ended their careers trying it

17:29 - that reminds me of an episode of Star Trek TNG where the ship was being visited by an alien that was an undefeated Grand Master at some game and the crew egged Data into playing him and Data lost. Then after spending part of the episode having an existential crisis, at the end of the episode, Data challenged him to a rematch and made the guy rage quit. And when the other characters asked Data how he did it, Data revealed that instead of playing to win, he was playing for a draw and was able to keep the game in a state of equilibrium for so long, his opponent grew frustrated and gave up.

Karl's story about the Australian speed skater reminded me of this one episode of "King Of The Hill," where Bobby was on the school's track team; long story short, he had to substitute for a guy on the relay team, and at the end of the race, ALL of the competitors fell, so Bobby had to run as fast as he could to the finish line.

If you've seen that series, you know what kind of shape Bobby is in, so this was not easy to do, but he had to quickly take advantage of the situation.

The inoki/ali story is interesting because iirc the rules were changed the night of the fight and Inoki felt like he was being screwed.

That grip is now commonly in pro wrestling as a Gutwrench with a suplex and powerbomb with variations thereof associated with it, and also Faarooq/Ron Simmons Dominator finisher.
Matt Riddle has done this lift throughout his wrestling career (dont know about his mma), doing multiple throws while retaining grip, he has crazy strength

John hopoate is super famous in Australia for that. With jokes created in response, such as,
john is found smelling his fingers after the match. Another player asked him what he was doing. John replies "counting my tackles."

There was also an Australian comedian Hamish Blake, who won the 2011 New York State Bodybuilding Competition. He entered the heavyweight division as a joke, but won because he was the only one heavy enough to qualify.
