  After a year, the Super Lintons don’t leave me wanting much. I’m curious what other owners have found over time — especially with amplification, placement, and whether you ended up adding a subwoofer. What have they been like in your room?

  Having owned the Denton 85, then Linton, then Super Linton, and now Dovedales… I don’t want to say it but man oh man, I found my forever speakers.

  I’ve still got a pair of 80’s Mach 9’s that I’ve had since new. Currently thinking about getting them assessed and rejuvenated. I always liked ‘em.

  I bought my first system in 1975 as an 18 year old Navy guy making 168 bucks every two weeks. lol These Wharfedales have the look of vintage speakers from back then with modern engineering. The best of both worlds. Nice review!

  Had mine for about six months and love them. Also run a sub with them for the same reason you did, room correction. Listen to them almost every day and some days for hours.

  It was a pleasure hanging out with you Lane!  I have a set of Linton 85th and agree with everything you said.  I would imagine the Super Linton are more resolving of fine detail, but I honestly don't feel I'm missing all that much with the 85th.  I've been an audio-dork for 35 years and it's rare for me to get long-term (more than a year or two) satisfaction with a set of speakers, but the Lintons do satisfy.  The Dovedales are tempting though 😁  Great Review.  Subscibed.

  Neat, long term review.  I just bought some, and an Advance Paris A10 Apex to pair them with a mostly vinyl listening setup.  I’m actually building the vinyl storage cabinets while listening to your review.  Enjoy! 👍

  Man, I had a pair of Lintons for about a year and half and really liked them! And then…I got the itch, as we all do. <br><br>I ended up buying a pair of KLH model 5’s because I was interested in trying a pair of acoustic suspension speakers since I’ve never had any and wow, the Model 5’s are some incredible speakers. <br><br>They are more detailed up top without being fatiguing(like the Cornwall &amp; Forte IV I tried) and have harder hitting and more defined bass. Plus, they are not picky about room placement at all. I will be purchasing the Model 7’s as soon as I have the money saved up.<br><br>I would highly recommend auditioning a pair if you get the chance. Cool video, and happy listening!

  Thanks for the one year review. &nbsp;They look great and are tempting to buy. &nbsp;Great stands but I’ve found I prefer towers over standmounts. &nbsp;They take up the same floor space and I get more speaker which impacts dynamics and soundstage in my room. &nbsp;My listening room is small so I finally bought my dream speakers when the Revel F226Be went on sale. &nbsp;Small towers. &nbsp;They sound amazing. &nbsp;I am hearing details I never did with other towers and standmounts. &nbsp;I cross them over at 80 Hz paired with a pair of SVS SB 1000 Pros. &nbsp;Full sound from thunderous bass to clear midrange for drums and an airy top end with detail but not sibilant toed in about 10 degrees so they are aimed just outside my ears in my listening chair. &nbsp;The soundstage, detail and dynamics I love and they look beautiful in American walnut. &nbsp;They are more expensive than the Lintons. &nbsp;Glad you’re happy with your setup. &nbsp;Be well and rock on.

  After waiting 2 months mine finally got delivered. Great upgrade from the q5050 on the Aethos. Already great bass extension and slam and musicality. Look great. Stands are amazing. Want to really load a room? Add rel classic 99s on high levels.
