  1. Show us that finished stretch of HSR in CA;<br>2. HSR in CA will be a bust unless the boondoggle is taken over by a private consortium, fewer stops are planned, and the Tehachipis are surmounted.

  You miss the issue, the issue is access to communities so they can travel to work, recreation, medical car and more. The race for speed by France and Germany proved that &nbsp;the higher the speed, the more singular the technology the more costly it is. Also &nbsp;competing with planes at trips under 300 is the sweet spot.

  An agreement made in the Reagan era left railways in private hands. Freight was given priority over passenger service. The tracts remained designed for freight, but not for people. &nbsp;In any case, your video is of great interest. Maps of the new lines would have been of great interest.

  The speeds and time lines do add up. You dont save a lot of time using a train because it does not go full speed the whole time and dosent account for all the stops. Going faster then the speed of sound is not possible for a train, if and only if the tracks were perfect and you have so much open land otherwise you have to spend a hour just getting to a rual station to avoid city streets

  Most people believe the only reason there was such a project in CA known as the Train to Nowhere is not bec there was a good train technological plan but rather it was obviously just a plan to steal money from federal grants and state funds by a criminal fraud organization disguised as a political party (the dnc). Imagine, over 16 years since it was first funded with only a short paving done with no built rails at all!!! 16 years with billions gone! If that is not fraud, I don’t know what is! Now they are raising its budget. People say, “Stop the whole thing, scrap the project, stop the grift!”

  technology was never the American problem, it&apos;s the bureaucracy of local governments along any route that impede its construction and operation, making the build/run cost economically feasible - just look at the literally &quot;sky&quot;rocketing cost of the the California rapid rail - nothing but local &quot;gov&quot; and union grifters along the route drowning the project.... - except for china all the other &nbsp;countries are democratic and they dont have the problem - we need to declare a federal right of way and &nbsp;let the army core of engineers build it - and if the locals dont like it they can move!!! - that&apos;s how we built highways in the 40-50&apos;s - we need to do this for rails also - yeah yeah yeah, i know they airline lobby owns the politicians - it&apos;s because there are no term limits on the house and senate, so it will never get built here... even Amtrak&apos;s east coast &nbsp;auto train, perhaps its profitable route, can not afford to buy new equipment and has to keep patching up the old junk - and all over pour rails, there are so many road crossing accidents that they dont even make national news - we only know of them from youtube dashcam shorts, and mostly because of failing barricade systems with no repair budget, another thing we need is rail security - again it should be dhs or national guard troops instead of people hired by local grifting politicians - duh!!! &nbsp;- on an EL-AL flight there is &nbsp;no air marshal - because every last member of the crew is active Israeli military - any one of those cute stewardesses can deck u in a second - so u dont mess... every airline should be doing this &nbsp;- would make flying a lot safer
