Don’t mistake politeness for weakness, I may be friendly but I’m not your friend…

The treatment of our people and veterans by successive governments is atrocious and unforgiveable.

I served alongside 42CDO as their armoured support as part of the SCOTS DG in 2003. Best soldiers I ever saw. Fought in Op James to take south eastern Basra. I’ll certify there was no politeness nor restraint. Knew both Binns and Brims, both interesting men. I remember very well that night before we crossed into Iraq, I was up all night with no sleep checking my tanks had ammunition. They took all our communications off us, and withdrew the satellite phones. It was a hell of a time. God bless any and all veterans that served there, British or American.

The British equip the man, the Americans man the equipment.

Tony Blair has blood on his hands for what he done sending British troops into Iraq knowing that the whole war was based on lies that George Bush fed him.

It's ironic that this made the US generals change their opinions of the British, when we haven't lost a war in 150 + years. The British are trained to rely on their training and the kit they carry, not call in an airstrike when a car backfires

It seems that the only ones who criticize soldiers are the politicians who never go to war.

Lt Col Tim Collins should’ve been put in charge of the aftermath of the defeat of Hussein. The dismantling of the Ba’ath militia and police left an impossible vacuum. His book outlined clearly the reasons for the uprising.

Let's be frank. The British Royal Marines are not your run of the mill infantry. They are truly elite, more like Army Rangers, but better.
