  I know it worse than anyone thinks. My great uncle was there, he was a panzergrenadier in 2nd SS Panzer Division Das Reich and I have his diary entries of the entire battle, along with every day of fighting on the Eastern Front from June 22nd 1941 to March 1944. It was never a cakewalk for the Germans despite what it may have seemed in the history books, the Soviets fought hard despite their lack of effective leadership and good equipment and he acknowledged that. Victories always came at a cost and sometimes those costs were extremely high as was the case in the 3rd Battle of Kharkhov and the Kursk offensive.

  The ratio of killed/wounded per day at Kursk actually exceeds the same ratio at Stalingrad.

  Normies don't even know that the air battle above Kursk was larger than the Battle of Britain. It seems like every time the Luftwaffe involves itself in some pitched air battle, they lose.

  There is at least half a dozen versions of why Citadel was delayed for two months. There is much more to the story then Hitler waiting for more Tigers and Panthers....if that's even true

  My Grandfather fought at Ponyri Station. &nbsp;He was in the 3rd Tank Corps tasked to assist the infantry at the station. &nbsp;T-34(the 76mm versions) against the best the Germans could offer. &nbsp;The Corps took heavy losses, but did its job.
