That was my excuse. It’s too expensive. I really believed I couldn’t afford it. Until my doctor told me that he wanted me to look around after I left his office and see how many 70 year old men I saw walking around unassisted who were as heavy as I was. He was correct. Most men that looked like me got around with a cane or a walker if not one of those electric scooters. That’s when I decided that what I really couldn’t afford was to not take this medication. Now I’m staring down 70 in about 7 months 90 lbs down and feeling better than I have in years. I’m on the bridge program now but for months I got it from Lilly Direct. I’m grateful for the Bridge program but if it goes away I’ll just dig a little deeper and pay whatever it takes.

Thank you, Christopher, for an understandable explanation of all types of weight loss drugs on the market. Losing the weight has been life changing and I’m talking 20 pounds. I may need to go another five but it’s not going to be hard. I want to say that while the cost is something you may not have planned for in your budget, what you save on food versus the cost of the drug is incredible! I had no idea how much money I spent every week, buying cakes and chips and cookies and processed foods that were actually harming me. I’m wondering if other people have felt the same way? You guys are the best keep up the good work!!!

I went through every possible path to get my GLP-1 covered by insurance. After months of lab tests, prior authorizations, appeals, etc...it became clear it was not going to be covered. And I checked again every 6 months to see if anything changed. So I've used Lilly Direct from the start 15 month ago. I was looking forward to the Bridge program, only to be denied due to a severe OSA diagnosis. Now I realize there's a distinct benefit to the self-pay route. No insurance company, PBM or other intermediary will ever limit my access or make unreasonable demands. Whatever my doctor and I decide is right goes. Using Lilly Direct is convenient, simple, and reliable. Even though I can save a little money every month using a telehealth, I will remain with Lilly Direct because I have total control over my care.

I gotta add that if you're on You Tube looking for GLP-1 info you can't do better than landing on this channel. This lots of good info to be found for sure on You Tube but here its like you're listening to one of your good neighbors on your front porch talk about the subject that's been on your mind long before there were meds to help.

Thank you so much for this video. I decided to do this 100%. I used your Mochi link and the discount code. They also gave the first month fee for free (charged and then applied to the next month). My first provider appointment is for Oct 2 and I am using this time to go through all of your videos. You make it so real and helpful. I realized that the cost is much less than what I spend on a fast food delivery once a week. I need help with the constant food noise. Thank you for the direction i needed.

I have recently switched from mounjaro 12.5 mg pen to 5.5 mg foundayo pill and I'm so glad I did. £302 per month to £159 per month. No food noise so far , in fact none at all. Reason for the switch was that I am nearly down to my target weight ( 80lb loss so far) but the last 8 weeks no weight loss. I think foundayo will be a good move for me and around half the monthly price saved .

I find myself here a lot. I believe it is because I never thought these medications were for me. They were for Hollywood. It wasn't until we were visiting friends in another state that I found out I was worthy. The adult son of one of our friends casually mentioned he was taking Mounjaro. After being back home for a while I couldn't get that out of my mind. I had a doctor appointment coming up, so I made a mental note to ask about it. Three months later, I'm on Mounjaro, 12 pounds down, and I have a much lower A1C.

I started a year ago and paid myself until the Bridge. I agonized wanting it and paying for it for two years. Finally I said I wasn’t getting any younger and bit the bullet and started paying the $350/month. I’m down 40 pounds and it was the best money ever spent. If the Bridge Program goes away I will go back to self way.
