I told my narcissistic mother to knock on my door before coming into my room. She said “I am your mother, you came out of me and you’re living in my house”, they will constantly break boundaries so there’s no way to reason with them (I just lock my door and tell her she must learn how to knock or else I’ll keep my room locked forever). <br>She also tells me to stop spending my money on my solo dates, she acts like I’m spending her money. No I’m just not stingy like you and I don’t live with that scarcity mindset, I also love myself enough to spend money. They will constantly project their insecurities onto you even if they make it seem like they are doing it for your sake. Don’t fall for this

I come from a narcissistic family, but i have no other option leave as I'm still studying, but i always come back to this video as a reminder that i should not dwell on it or react. This video also was the reason i found out that my ex bff was a narcissist always complaining about others, insulting me passively in a group, talking bad about me but acting like the victim. I was unable to leave because my mother insisted i had to go classes with her as my father was never around to take me, i distanced myself and after our 8 years of friendship, when school ended, our friendship ended, and i will never regret it.
