You described me perfectly. Being too empathetic and loyal cost me 25 plus years of my life. I live alone with my dog, and I'm happier than I ever was with the narcissist. Also, my mother was a narcissist. Since the narcissists in my life are gone, I can be myself, and understand I'm okay just the way I am. It feels good.

It is painful. You don't trust your own thoughts. You think you are so faulty because you have become worthless the gaslighting is real. You become convinced that you are unloveable.
