  Someone might have mentioned this already but Paula Cole was a last minute stand in for Sinnead O’Conner! She got up there with that already well rehearsed band with I think about four days notice. Here is a quote about it from a bio about her:  “Her status is enhanced by the fact that she was brought into that tour at extremely short notice by way of a blunt ‘take it or leave it but I have to know now’ voice message left on her phone by Gabriel, when Sinéad O’Connor abruptly stood down from it, flying thousands of miles through the night to Germany at the drop of a hat and with barely any vocal rehearsal, never mind for the complex staging and dance scenes. She went on to turn in repeated performances that rank with the very best there is.”

  Probably one of the best live performances recorded ever. Peter is a magician, and the musicians on this stage are truly world class.

  For a drummer like myself, what also stands out for me is the magnificient work of Manu Katché here, one of my favourite drummers (he's done great work for example with Sting as well). Just some super-tasty licks and fills everywhere, so rythmically intricate yet totally in the pocket, and it always feels effortless and never takes away the shine from anyone else. It always just adds to the whole, and his drumming becomes an absolutely necessary part of the performance. Whenever i see Manu Katché on drums, it's always exciting!

  Saw them on this tour. Incredible show. The amount of talent on the stage was amazing from every section of the band.
