I was in high school and listened to this interview live. If you didn't live back in 1981, Rush was THE BAND to be, to listen to, to see.

Looking back in 2022 … this entire album was a looking glass into the future …
Neil was an intimidatingly intelligent being. Too intelligent for the average mortal to even begin to comprehend.

Thank you for posting this. Never heard it back then but enjoyed it now. I enjoy Neil's brain and how he puts things together. I like his independent political views that see the dangers of tyranny from both sides.

Wow! At 2:43 Neil says “hands on your time, I like that” How interesting to actually get to hear him write a future Rush line in a song, Analog Kid from Signals. (The next studio album they wrote after this interview)

We lost Neil Peart on January 7th 2020 to brain cancer! Geddy Lee called him: THE PROFESSOR because he had a verbal and musical vocabulary that I would put against anyone including Beethoven and Albert Einstein all this from a guy who didn’t graduate high school! Not only was he the drummer-percussionist of RUSH but he also wrote the Lyrics! RIP PROFESSOR

The name of this Jim Ladd syndicated show was Innerview. Innerview shows can be found on Ebay in the form of record albums that were sent to stations around the country. Just an FYI; I'm not selling any.
