Hard to hear Neil's voice...without getting misty. Thanks for sharing this. Miss these guys.

One of the interesting things I noticed when listening to this interview, it seems to be the source from which the interview segments of Neil in the Exit Stage Left concert film originated from.

THANK YOU for uploading this! I taped this when it originally ran on KWK FM in St. Louis. The recording I made had a bunch of technical problems on my end. When I taped it, we had a severe thunderstorm move through our area (I lived about 8 miles north of Cuba, Missouri at the time) and the static from the lightning obscured a LOT of the interview dialogue. Then my Dad, who hated rock music came in and turned the stereo off while "The Camera Eye" was just getting started. I did the best I could and kept that tape for many years and I think I still have it. It's actually the first interview I had ever heard Rush do and I'm so glad to find it on your channel, which I have subscribed to. Thanks a million, my friend!

As an artist, I loved hearing them all disagree that Limelight's sentiments are bitter -- it goes straight to the heart of the depths of their integrity as artists and humans.

They were. Just on the verge of global superstardom as this interview was recorded . Rush were fairly popular before Moving Pictures and had a loyal following. But Moving Pictures established them in the mainstream as a very popular rock band.

Some of this interview was used on the exit stage left vhs. I had no idea it was taken from a radio interview.
