  Definately one of the better setups i have seen. Amazes me how many people have a copper coil with the majority of the thermal energy shooting right up the middle doing nothing. &nbsp;Most people don&apos;t have the smarts to add the baffles. &nbsp;The more you make the gas flow change direction and break up the boundry layer the better. <br><br>You are wasting some energy with the outside of the burner running red. If you put some insulation inside to stop the heat radiating out, that would help. <br><br>You need to NOT have the oil feed in the fire and running red or even vaporising the fuel. It will block with the carbonisation of the oil pretty quick. &nbsp;I run my fuel pipe through the air inlet to keep it cool. &nbsp;Having the oil hot does nothing outside the burn chamber. <br><br>You fuel flow towards the end was way too high. I could tell by looking at it. &nbsp;The oil pooled in the burner and when you shut it off it probably ran a long time before going out. &nbsp;It won&apos;t smoke at first but you have to be careful you don&apos;t get an amount of oil boiling so that it all wants to phase change to a gas all at once. You&apos;ll get a HUGE flare up but if it happens, don&apos;t panic. <br><br>Give it 30 sec to a min and it will burn out and settle down again. &nbsp;It&apos;s dramatic but not going to do anything because theres nothing to bun in there anyway. &nbsp;To check the oil flow is right, you should be able to turn off the fuel and hear the flame start dying in 30 Sec or less. If it goes longer than that with no change, you are over fueling even if it&apos;s running clean. <br><br>It would be interesting to see what the exit gas temps are. You may be able to put like a car heater cabin or motorcycle radiator over the top and run your cold water in there to pre-heat it. &nbsp;If you can get the flue gas temps down it will increase efficency. <br><br>Great setup, I like the modular design and the thought that&apos;s gone into this. Very well done!!!

  At <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoaJSp_WI2w&amp;t=855">14:15</a>, you need to make the oil pipe slightly bent so that when it burns, the smoke doesn&apos;t rise back into the oil tray like that.

  I&apos;ve read that reclaim oil burner&apos;s, waste oil combustion exhaust, it cleaner than traditional wood.

  You should look at a pulse type fuel pump and timer. This will give perfect stable oil flow regulation that would enable you to use oil from larger drums and be able to walk away &nbsp;for hours knowing the burn will remain stable and at the same level without ajusting all the time.
