  I feel like there's so many men online who are missing the point so hard they prove the point; they think the fact the Dad character does not strike anyone is proof that the 'internet' is solely responsible for what happened, completely missing the point that the Dad character showed you can raise a boy to act this way towards women through how you speak of women and treat them as secondary. It was made very clear the whole show, for me, that the Dad is very responsible, he is shown being closed off and moody towards his wife, moping when he doesn't get physical access to her, having fits of anger, talking down to women, defending his son instead of women even after he has proof his son did it, being menacing and getting rewarded for that with compliance (look at how shut down and meek both the wife and the mother acted after he threw the paint on the van), I mean, just on and on and on displaying all these behaviors that are normalized in society and yet are directly tied to what his son felt entitled to do.

  If I am not mistaken Jamie doesn’t say he „is innocent“, he multiple times says he „didn’t do anything wrong“ … which gave me the chills every time. Because it’s like he says to kill a women is not wrong. 😰😰😰

  Something i didnt really think about until i watches it a second time. <br><br>In the second episode the kids say &quot;yeah we know he did it, we saw the video&quot; which means the CCTV footage of Katie&apos;s murder is being shared online and the kids are sharing it with each other. Then in episode 4 the creepy dude talking to the dad says the stab wounds dont match up with the video. <br><br>Even in death this poor girl is still being degraded and objectified by having her own classmates watch the video and think nothing of it. And you have a bunch of creepy incels watching the video and celebrating thinking Jamie did nothing wrong. <br><br>Just sickening.

  And yes, &quot;therapy&quot; cant fix abusive mindsets and behaviours. Therapy works when the patient has a genuine desire to grow, NOT when its mandated by a judge. <br>💔

  I don&apos;t think people understand how accurate and relevant this series is. Just a couple month ago a German investigation group uncovered a telegram group chat of 70,000 men sharing explicit advice on assaulting women. THAT&apos;S SEVENTY THOUSAND.

  Also why everyone say Katie really bullied him, he attacked her after seeing her leaked naked photos, he thought he will get something because she is weak. This is attack. And then she left some nasty comments on his page. Thats not bullying, that is action in result of him trying to get her.

  Jamie wasn&apos;t even bullied by the girl. That&apos;s what irritates me that so many people see Jamie as a victim of bullying and he killed his bully. In actuality all Katie did was call him on his behaviour, he was using RP tactics to trick her because he was taught by the manosphere to manipulate females to get what you want from them. He didn&apos;t even like her. She knew that and she called him out. He should have taken the L but instead he victimised himself and blamed &nbsp; her ( which is also common in RP, victim mentality and blaming women for their problems) and killed her. Katie was actually the one being bullied by the whole school. Her pictures were being shared and she was humiliated. She didn&apos;t kill the boy who did that to her and infinitely worse than her calling Jamie an 1nc3LL with the use of emojis.

  Might need to reactivate my Netflix subscription. What’s crazy is even as a gay man of color in my 30s, I’m still learning and realizing internalized racism, homophobia, and misogyny forced down my throat growing up. It’s scary and insidious how deep rooted this stuff can be.
