  My brother has lived and worked in Spain for over 20 yrs. He was diagnosed with bowel cancer earlier this year. The treatment he received was brilliant and he is now on the road to recovery. He lives like a Spaniard, is fluent in the language.His wife suddenly passed away several years ago and he had no thought of returning to the UK.He is a citizen and considers himself more Spanish than english

  I lived eight years in the UK. After this time, I didn´t know the name of my neighbourgs. If I said &quot;hello&quot; to them they looked at me surprised.<br>I came back to Spain after suffering cronic depression and moved to a new place in Asturias. Well... In two days, my neighbourgs investigated about me, came to say hello, were interested about my story, offered me help... I almost cried. In two days they made me feel part of the village. Yes, we have a sense of community.<br>Welcome to Spain. We hope that you have a good experience.

  I moved to Spain 9 years ago. It&apos;s the best decision that I ever made. I love everything about Spain, obviously the weather, but also the people and their sense of family values. I love all the celebrations ( fiestas ) religous or otherwise, that bring people together. Spain is a wonderful and beautiful country, full of lovely people, and I am honoured to live here. I wouldn&apos;t want to live anywhere else.

  Very good comments, I have lived in Spain now for 18 years, and though I like to go back to the UK to visit family, I could never return to live there. Viva Espana!

  I&apos;m Irish living in Spain almost 4 years. Our countries are not the same countries we grew up in. You have done one of the best things imaginable for your children, raising them in Spain. Hopefully you haven&apos;t got them in an English speaking school. Make sure they grow up natively fluent in Spanish.<br>I have quite a few English friends who left the UK (for Australia) and they would never bring their children back to live in the UK.<br>I absolutely love Spain. The people. The language. The culture. The community spirit. And of course the weather. Por supuesto! Espero que disfrute la vida Español. Es la leche, tío. Ten buen la experiencia. Mucho ánimo.

  Spain to me is that beautiful utopia that offers such rich history, culture, an amalgamation of both, education literally simply walking its routes and trails, discipline, cleanliness, politeness and so much more.<br>I have taken various trips to Spain on history trails, being a Conviviencia enthusiast, and have only been met with the politest people, friendly, always happy to help, going out of their way to offer support.<br>Malaga, Granada, Cordoba, Seville, Alicante and next planned to visit Madrid and Toledo.<br>One forever fan ! <br>Gracias Espana ❤
