  Nothing in life is permanent. Just because you move to Spain, that doesn&apos;t obligate you to stay there forever. If circumstances change, it doesn&apos;t mean you&apos;re a &quot;failure&quot; to move again and return to the UK.

  Most older people go back due to mortality and healthcare. &nbsp;As time closes in they worry about struggling with Spanish in the hospitals and want to see their family. Others leave as simply miss family and cannot adapt.

  A very sensible well presented view. Nothing dramatic or overstated.<br>I&apos;m 79, been in Spain for 30 years now and for 29 of those years have been in Catalunya where the health services have been superb. The people in this region are genuine and in general, not tainted by the poor behaviour of other European ex-pats. Whilst patriotic, I&apos;m hear to stay.

  I´ve lived in Spain 21 years and have no desire to go back to the UK. However if I was in such a dreary place as the one you walk around in I think I would go somewhere else. Go to Nerja or a white village in Andalucia, or Granada or somewhere stimulating, but not that awful Torrevieja or wherever you are.

  My folks stayed there and my Dad died there. 15years. After a MASSIVE amount of hassle we got mum home.

  There is no way I&apos;ll ever go back 😂.i went back to Manchester a couple of weeks ago its a shame but Uk is broken now..

  Ilived in Andalusia for nine years but went back to the UK for my family.<br>I preferred España

  The UK is a very expensive place to live now. Probably not realistic to move back if you have been away a long time
