for context this movie came out the same year that Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort were in the Fault in Our Stars together and like a year (?) after Shailene and Miles Teller were in The Spectacular Now together. so this was like the IT cast of the moment for teen movies

This book really shows how Susan Collins' knowledge on the military and government is what made the hunger games so great

17:17 rlly highlights how dauntless are just cops bc the only reason Four has to kill that innocent is bc he’s FOLLOWING ORDERS

I just want to add that the shooting of an innocent or family is a military tactic. Its not that they want you to kill an innocent or shoot your family, they want to know that you will follow orders no matter what you think. You may think they are innocent or that is your family but if your "faction" or leader is telling you to shoot them, then you better shoot them. That is why Four says he looks away when he has to pass that test. Which is why it was a huge deal when she made him look at her if he was going to shoot her. She was trying to make him realize it was not a test.
Otherwise, I'm here for the rest of the downfall we all had to endure. Love watching you read the books and then watch the movies.
