The test is one question: when you get back, do you actually want to tell somebody about it?<br>If there's nobody to tell, that ride is only half finished. I mostly ride alone. I dont need to tell anyone about it when i get back cuz its "mine". No selfies, no photo sharing, just my peaceful place.

25 years of early Sunday morning solo rides. Leave before <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjBLWrDMpvY&t=360">6:00</a> and have clear, quiet roads. 50-100 miles out, go for breakfast, and 50-100 miles back. Back before noon and usually beat the heat on warm days. No interest in group riding, just want to enjoy my own head space.

I've been riding for 46 years, when I was younger I rode with buddies, but, I've been riding alone for at least the last 30 years, riding with others is just a pain. I'm 61 now, and love riding alone more than ever.

Riding alone is the default. You don't need to tell anyone about the ride it's not for them it's for you that's the point.

50 year rider here. Tried some group rides in the past and was always on edge if someone was going to pull a stupid. Riding alone is just better for me because I can give full attention to what is going on, especially people in their 4 thousand pound land yachts playing on their cell phones. I have a '98 Heritage with no windshield or bags, so it's just wind in my face, listening to that sweet sound.

You don't have to tell anyone about the ride, I don't owe anyone an explenation. I get home and my wife asks if I had a good ride and I say yes, that's about it. I go out and ride the country back roads, long county roads, hardly any traffic, away from the city, and the highways. Just me riding talking to God, and enjoying the beautiful day he gave me to ride and clear my head, and give me the fresh air and the solitude that I need. I love just cruising past the farm fields, in 3rd or 4th gear just enjoying the sunshine and the breeze and not being in any kind of hurry. 😎👍

No one to tell. No friends. No family. Clear my head, let my mind wander when it can, get some scenery. Old familiar roads, new ones finding out if theyll become old and familiar. Go home happy to have ridden, usually happy to be home despite what life has waiting because my ass and legs hurt.
