It's better to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow...

It’s so remote where I ride that I wave to farmers in their pickup trucks.

The wave is more opportunistic as I get older. Before I took it as a mental challenge to keep situational awareness especially in traffic, a sort of 'hey, don't get lost in thought/stay focused' beyond an acknowledgement. On backroads when you haven't seen another rider for at least the past half hour, feels good. Put some style to it, equivalent to a handshake.

I recently got my motorcycle temps & have been watching a lot of beginner motorcycle YouTube videos. Then one day I passed a stranded motorcycle rider in my car. I immediately pulled over safely, got out of my car and checked if he was okay, and to see if he had someone coming. He was okay, and was waiting for someone to pick him up and tow his bike. Before I got my motorcycle temps I would have just passed by, but for some reason I felt the need to pull over and check.

I love to blip at traffic lights then watch them disappear as I pull away slow....

You forgot one, if you're not in a gang then you do not have to obey gang rules. This means you do not ask "permission" to pass those 1% losers that are always dawdling along looking for targets to harass.<br>Not your gang, not your problem.

Most of these only apply to "riders" in the US who ride for fun sometimes when the weather is perfect and make the motorcycle they put 500 miles a year on their whole identity

I used to love the wave, now its obnoxious to wave at someone every 30 seconds.

I wave at little kids on bicycles. They are little future bikers in training
