  I wouldn't say the Magic Kingdom is a bad park, but the experience of going there is NOT at all what it once was.  Poor maintenance, overcrowding, and Genie+ are all very real reasons why many people that go there feel as if it's a ripoff.

  The one thing that makes Disneyland superior to Magic Kingdom overall: California&apos;s weather is unmatched compared to Florida&apos;s unpredictable weather and humidity.

  My Dad was 54 when I was born and had heart issues. At Magic Kingdom and Epcot there was plenty for us to ride or experience as a family. We went to Universal once and Dad spent most of the day sitting by himself waiting for us. We never went back because in that regard Universal was a waste of money. Disney will always hold a special place in my heart. It was a place all of us could have fun together. &nbsp;Dad died 6 years ago and Disney vacations are some of our fondest memories

  I feel like it’s super soulless, like a cattle ranch moving guests from one ride attraction to another. It’s not really a stop and smell the roses park. It’s a theme park machine. The grandeur is almost gaudy. I like Disneyland because it’s a park first above all things, they’re not shy to place benches everywhere, to let a tree grow at the expense of blocking projections for the nighttime show. It’s just more lived in and homey.

  Riding the monorail and/or ferryboat to the park is fine. However it&apos;s an absolute nightmare when leaving the park after the fireworks or at park closing.

  Disney: &quot;Hey we made much more profit than the previous year. We made $35B! That is amazing! You know what&apos;s even better?! We&apos;re going to raise our prices again as we always do because we want another $30M bonus! Last year we only got a $25M bonus and that was uncalled for! This is the only way we can be happy and make our guests and staff suffer. This is business and if you all don&apos;t like how we run this place, LEAVE AND DON&apos;T GO COME BACK!&quot;

  Finally visited Disneyland this year as I have only visited Disney World since my youth. I have to say, Disney puts more love into Disneyland. It was cleaner, more detailed, and better ride experiences. The dark rides are a major plus to Disneyland as those are the soul of the park. When Magic Kingdom began removing those rides, it destroyed the charm it once had. Loved the fact many of the hollywood studios rides were in Disneyland. Hollywood studios alone is wasted money.
