  One of my best memories... I was probably 10 or 11 years old. Maybe 1965 or 66. Shea Stadium, Mets v. Dodgers. Back then it was relatively easy to get an autograph (and I had many) as the players would readily sign right at the field during batting practice and prior to the game. I saw Sandy signing autographs at the end of the Dodger dugout so i went down to try. I was a small kid and I was probably 5 or 6 kids deep in the crowd of kids, most taller than me, and never thought I would ever get close enough. I held up my little autograph book and Sandy Koufax reached out over the other kids and took my book, signed it, and I was the happiest kid in the stadium that day. Thank you Mr. Koufax.

  I saw Koufax-Pitch in St. Louis in Early-60&apos;s [also saw Stan Musial-Play there]...&amp; Watched the Dodgers-Beat the Yankees in the 1963-World-Series on an Old-Black &amp; White TV [that was as Much-Static as Game, Dad had an AM-Radio as a Backup] LA-Swept the Yanks in 4-Games w/ Koufax-Winning Game-1 &amp; 4!! <br>Sandy Koufax was 1 of My-Childhood Heroes, as was Babe Ruth &amp; Arnold Palmer!!<br>Thanks for this Entertaining-Video!!!

  I am native San Franciscan, born and raised in the Sunset District in the 1950s. Willie Mays was our childhood. It really is that simple.

  If I have one game I have to win, I&apos;m giving Sandy Koufax the ball. Living in San Jose CA, an hour from Candlestick Park, we&apos;d always go see the Pirates and Roberto Clemente when they came to play the Giants. Not a bad day when you saw Willie Mays and Roberto Clemente against each other. Willie Mays didn&apos;t just play baseball, he played with the game like it was his own personal toy. Saw him fake base runners into mistakes running to 2nd or 3rd. Saw him make catches in the outfield that were impossible - not for Wille. Willie was on another level.

  I remember newspaper sports page reported that Mays had dropped a fly balll... first one in 10 years. Regarding hitting, both stadiums were not hitters parks. NY Polo Grounds huge dimensions, 485 to center etc. and SF Candlestick had that fierce wind.
