  Which martial art will save you in a real fight is like asking what tool will help you build a house. Every martial art comes with its set of tools that can be used in various situations. Not every fight is going to play out exactly like every fight in the world. One fight might have an attacker who is trying to get close to me, another fight might have my attacker throwing punches at me. Learn as many martial arts as you can and pick & choose the techniques that are going to work for you.

  Judo is underrated as hell in the street. I am 1st degree white belt in BJJ (still learning) and did 3 years of boxing. I had sparred with a Judoka during BJJ, and let's say that if it was on the street on concrete then I've would most likely be permanently injured. Big difference between mats and street pavement.

  I was a brawler in my youth and I won three street fights but the third one almost landed me in serious trouble. Overtime I redeemed myself and I decided to participate in Krav Maga but I still regret for what I did on the third street fight

  Karatea would be good because it is a bit of a mix, although it wouldn't be that good in a prolonged self defense, because there trained for score points.

  An elite boxer with a BJJ blue belt would wipe the floor in just about every street fight. The boxing alone would end 98% of fights in under 5 seconds, but let's say some one does shoot or managed to give you a hard shove to the ground, a BJJ blue belt would be enough to either get a finish in a street fight or back to your feet.

  I hope that one day there will come a martial art that will actually directly teach you how to fight multiple people at once

  Boxing with elements of Greco Roman wrestling in the clinch is the best self defense for street fighting hands down!!!!
