  Even though it's a futuristic space show, I love how Millers character is the archetypal film noir detective, some character types are simply timeless

  The diffuser on the desk!!! <br><br>It&apos;s one of my favorite pieces of environmental storytelling. This is a world where water is precious, and it is just an extravagant display, opulent even, especially for a police chief

  I love how Holden&apos;s mom goes right for a kitchen knife when Avasarala comes in, &nbsp;but eventually she puts it down once they open up. Even watching this show dozens of times I still notice new little details.

  shouldn&apos;t feel too bad for the spy, and telling him if he&apos;s to die will probably lead to him sabotaging the electrics again to fight back. I think it&apos;s pure emotional manipulation, possibly based on a psych profile of holden.

  I didn&apos;t catch that before but the Martian patrol ship that pulled over the miners in the last episode was called the Scipio Africanus - after a Roman general who famously defeated Hannibal.<br><br>But if I was to guess the allusion, it might have been to the fact that after the Romans defeated the Carthaginians, they imposed on them such harsh conditions that they effectively forced them to go to war, and they used the Carthaginians as a kind of bogeyman/outside threat to distract from internal issues even when the Carthaginians were so thoroughly defeated they no longer posed a threat.

  Alex&apos;s Texan accent is because of where he is from. <br>He was raised in the Mariner Valley on Mars. <br>That part of the planet was heavily colonised by Indians and Texans. <br>The Texan accent is the one that came to be ubiquitous. &nbsp;<br>It is called the Mariner Valley Drawl in the books.

  Before the reveal of Kenzo the spy at the bar on Tycho, we also saw him in the background on the Roci while Naomi was prepping the ship for the Polanski mission.
