  You are not seeing "fat" Elvis - you are seeing desperately ill Elvis. This was filmed within months of his death. What people refer to as fat is actually the edema caused by his disease. The edema was compressing his lungs, making it hard for him to breath. But as sick as he was, he still gives it his all.

  Elvis could play the guitar and piano, but could not read music. He played "by ear", another gift from God.

  That man at that time was 6 weeks away from death, half blind on stage, in pain, breathless, just recovering from tonsillitis. Yet he did the best performance ever. He put every bit of his heart and soul into that and people are amazed to this day at his strength

  This was 6 weeks before he died. He was swollen from an enlarged heart and twisted colon. He was so very sick. He was 42 years old.

  Elvis was ill here, and he was dying. He died about 2 months later at the age of 42. RIP sweet Elvis. X

  So Elvis sings every note except the last note on this one. He could’ve easily hit that note but it must’ve been preplanned for his backup singer Sherrill Nielsen to &nbsp;complete it. He’s just six weeks away from his death at this point and clearly in terrible condition. He could barely stand and he could barely walk and he could barely talk. He was having massive organ failure. <br><br>How he was able to put on a performance that amazing as he did. This entire concert was unbelievable. It’s a testament to what legendary human beings could accomplish right in front of our eyes.

  People don&apos;t know the real story. &nbsp;The last 3 years of his life were not street drugs but a desperate barrage of prescription drugs. &nbsp;In the book by Sally Hoedel called, &quot;Destined to Die Young&quot; it explains how his mothers parents were first cousins, as a result he got a double gene called Alpha one, unknown then in Medicine. &nbsp;He inherited heart disease, Liver disease, and lung problem as did his mother and two brothers who all died in their 40&apos;s. &nbsp;Elvis was born with a twisted colon that was never treated. &nbsp;By his late 20&apos;s he had Emergency surgery to save his right eye from early onset Glaucoma. &nbsp;In his late 30&apos;s he was hospitalized twice for his liver. &nbsp;Elvis never wanted anyone to know. &nbsp;His hair dresser Larry Geller said Elvis had a mild heart attack in his presence in 1975. &nbsp;On his autopsy his enlarged heart indicated he had at least 2 heart attacks before the last one got him.. &nbsp;The media said he was fat and 40&apos;s when in truth, his liver was not filtering properly and it caused bloating in his face hands, and middle. &nbsp;Believe what you will but, he never complained, he knew he didn&apos;t have long but went on a stage with a smile and a love for his fans
