  I’m surprised basically no one in the entire fandom has analysed the stands that are so fundamental to this story so deeply like you have these couple of weeks. Keep up the great work!

  I like how both of Dio's primary powers (Dehydrating Freezing in Part 1 and The World in Part 3) are based around the idea of him being able to paralyze his opponents and beat them up without giving them any chance to fight back. It really fits his motif as a bully.

  Kira also has this whole thing where he always tries to subtly show off. He goes in competitions to get third place specifically, he tries to lay low but gets a personalized suit that ends up as evidence against him. So his power is a cat wrestler, cats being subtle and sneaky while wrestlers are performers, his power is explosions but silent, his Sheer Heart Attack tells people to look at it before killing them.

  I do think there is something you missed here with King Crimson. <br><br>Part 5 is fully about having the resolve to battle through hardships and challenges to get to the result you want in life. King Crimson violates that rule by literally skipping the hard part so Diavolo can get to what he wants; the results. He literally says “only the results matter” at one point, completely ignoring all the growth you have as a person from hardships.

  Great Kira analysis. He really is the perfect foil to Josuke... even down to his appearance! Josuke has a Visage of a delinquent when he just wants to live according to his principles... and Kira looks well-ordered but is an enemy to order itself. He constantly changes what he looks like to subvert his targets. True predator.

  I don&apos;t know if denial is the right word for Pucci&apos;s acceptance of the Heaven Plan. To me, it seemed like a kind of absolute fatalism, where you accept that the system cannot be escaped and believe that removing people&apos;s ignorance of their chains will help them peacefully accept their fate. People can get used to really bad situations so long as their basic needs are met, and in that case, chances for freedom can become terrifying. Imagine you&apos;ve managed to set up a tolerable life in prison, then one day you see a part of the wall where the guards are suddenly missing. The idea of taking the chance to run is scary, because you&apos;re abandoning the known for a completely unpredictable future. I imagine Pucci thinks of Heaven like this, thinking that people could be happy within the agency-denying system of Fate so long as it was known and familiar.

  Here&apos;s my interpretation of each one:<br><br>The World: DIO is anime&apos;s most megalomaniacal character, so he&apos;s the only one who can move for 5 seconds. It&apos;s the ultimate ego trip to have a world where you are the only one with autonomy, especially for someone like DIO, who believes he&apos;s the one at the top of the world, making sure that they stay beneath him where they belong.<br><br>Killer Queen: It&apos;s a convenient tool so help Kira with his murders. It completely vaporizes the target while leaving nothing behind, showing Kira&apos;s obssession with tidiness. This vaporization is visualized as an explosion, showing Kira&apos;s violent outbursts and the extreme measures he takes to preserve his quiet life.<br><br>Sheer Heart Attack is Kira&apos;s bloodlust represented by an unstoppable heat-seeking tank, as it&apos;s function is to chase down and flawlessly eliminate Kira&apos;s targets that managed to escape him and/or discover his secret. Kira&apos;s homicidal urges are represented by his fingernails growing too long and him becoming more reckless, so SHA leaves tracks as evidence.<br><br>Bites the Dust is Kira&apos;s desperation to avoid capture after killing Hayato, represented as a bomb that instantly destroys whoever tries to discover his identity through him while leaving behind a time loop, preventing the victims testimony while also representing Kira&apos;s obssession with routine.<br><br>King Crimson: This stand represents Diavolo&apos;s conflicting philosophies. Diavolo believes that defeating your past equals to destroying the mistakes associated with it, therefore, allowing you to grow as a person, so Epitaph grants him precognition, preventing any mistakes from occuring. He also believes that the results from the future are the only thing that matters, so he has the ability to erase cause and leave only the effect, represented by him erasing upcoming events, leaving no trace of it&apos;s existence. He is the only one who gets to experience such events, giving him an edge on how to correct his mistakes. Diavolo is overwhelmingly paranoid, so his stand is overwhelmingly powerful in terms of physical strength, fitting his user&apos;s pragmatic fighting style.<br><br>Whitesnake: The overall theme of this stand is hypocrisy and lies. Pucci is an absolute fatalist, firmly believing that accepting your lack of autonomy leads to blissfulness, so he distorts the perception of reality of his targets in order to force them to submit to the unknown, allowing him to have complete control over them, which fits his savior complex. This also plays into his themes of being an executioner, which is represented by preserving and freely manipulating the aspects of his target&apos;s mind via disks, objects whoose sole purpose is to store data, as that&apos;s how Pucci sees people, nothing more than pieces of data that&apos;ll allow him to achieve his goal. As you said, Pucci is in denial. He convinces himself that he is a savior who wants nothing but to bring joy to humanity, when in reality, he is nothing more than a houlier-than-thou extremist who refuses to accept responsability for what he has done, so Whitesnake dissociates from his user, being a fully sentient stand that represents this inner side of Pucci&apos;s personality.<br><br>D4C: Nationalism, the stand. Valentine is a full blown nationalist, exalting his own nation&apos;s interests with no empathy for the others, so D4C expands Valentine&apos;s control past the existing borders of reality. Nationalism sees the leader&apos;s survival as the main priority, so D4C allows him to pass the torch of Valentine&apos;s duty over the USA to next Valentine. The condition of travelling over to the next universe being the requirement of Valentine sandwiching himself between objects shows how he believes he should be the central role in shaping the country.<br><br>D4C Love Train: &quot;Fortune favors the bold&quot; taken literally. By boldly grabbing the first napkin (Jesus, in the vessel of Lucy), Valentine has attained the world&apos;s good fortune, allowing himself and his country to thrive eternally by redirecting all misfortune towards the rest of the world.<br><br>Wonder of U: Tooru is the force of calamity taken form. He <b>is not</b> a force for good, as he obviously wants to overthrow humanity, nor does he care about evil (in other words, he doesn&apos;t care at all about humans and their trivial fights between each other). What differentiates Tooru from the other Rock Humans is that, instead of directly confronting humans, he works behind the scenes in order to ruin the lives of anybody who crosses him, akin to how the flow of calamity works in a unseen chain of logic to strike whoever has been bestowed by it. Tooru tempts his target with illusions in order to make them pursue the forbidden fruit, that being Wonder of U itself. It has the ability to take the identity of other people, obviously as a means to facilitate Tooru&apos;s infiltration in society. The stand&apos;s sentience is due to the fact that it is the avatar of the calamity. That trait also explains why it can persist after it&apos;s user&apos;s death, as it is a law of the universe that cannot go away.

  Stands can be hard to understand mechanically, especially the villain stands. Breaking it down as &quot;This stand represents X, so X is represented as a super power in way Y&quot; makes it a lot easier to explain. It&apos;s also what I love about power systems in general, and the thing I think JoJo excels at over most other stories

  Funny thing, Whitesnake has an E in destructive power, even though it&apos;s clearly strong enough to slice off limbs with a single stroke. People have suspected that this is in reference to his ineffective acid attack. However, it&apos;s also possible that it&apos;s referring to his ability to extract disks from people. As much like how he never meant to cause harm to his sister, who he was very close to, the outcome came all the same. Likewise, Whitesnake&apos;s ability had been shown in almost every instance of his ability that I can think of that extracting disks draws blood. Reflecting how even Enrico&apos;s seemingly small actions still had real consequences.

  The first comment I wrote was simply because I wanted to feed the algorithm. &nbsp;Yet I must say I am really impressed. Especially with the analysis of Dio. I was always unhappy with people calling it an &quot;asspull&quot; that jotaro could also stop time. Yet I lacked the inside to reasonably explain the similarity. <br>To point out that Dio put himself above time, explains why he deserves this power.<br><br>If you would like, I wish to see an analysis on Jotaros &quot;perfect&quot; ability of problem solving. What is it, that makes him the strongest Stand user and how can we as non stand users learn from it?<br><br>Anyway. This time it&apos;s more than empty words. Really great video!!
