  In the theatre, not knowing when the speakers would max out, was so terrifying. Like already the movie on it’s own made me uncomfortable but the sound design was like they were targeting my animal brain.

  They didn&apos;t want us to think Nikki was uncomfortable around Bear at first, they were giving hints that she might have been interested in him deep down, while his &quot;friend&quot; spent the whole movie sabotaging their relationship. All Bear had to do was be direct and honest, and pour out his feelings like in the first scene despite what his &quot;Friend&quot; told him... and ofc, not be a piece of shit horrible human being.

  If you strip away all the supernatural elements from this story, it’s fundamentally about a man drugging a girl to get her addicted so he can control her. While under the influence, she’s delirious and out of control; once sober, she’s overwhelmed with despair and wishes she were dead.

  Speaking about crickets -- this reminds me of when teachers would tell us to becareful when going camping or near the woods, if the insects go quiet all of a sudden, it means there is a predator!!! Nearby. So when insects are loud, y&apos;all are safe
