  I feel like we need to teach law in high-school so that people can understand how the court systems work<br>(Edit:my school had a law class but it was not required and the only students who took it where going into law into college I am in accountanting)

  Wife got suspended for suspected AI content — appealed, got the account back but EVERY POST had been deleted.<br><br>It disheartened her so bad she quit social media and is only just now preparing to get back into content creation.

  They&apos;re just throwing AI tools in there with no care even more so since this year, mass AI bans for innocent accounts while awful stuff stays up. They don&apos;t care, the innocent bans are a rounding error, and they err towards their own safety from advertisers and lawsuits. Ugh this is so annoying. And no the regular appeals process just rejects in seconds which means there is no human review.

  This is lowkey giving me a ptsd flashback to 2 months ago when my Instagram account suddenly got locked after switching phones due to a &quot;hacking attempt&quot;. It &nbsp;really is a surreal nightmare. I had the exact thought that &quot;well it&apos;s just a social media account&quot; but I was also in the middle of DMing about a commission, so it really does feel like the rug is out from under you. I also never got the code?? And got sent in all kinds of loops involving robots and call centers. The recovery method where you &quot;notify&quot; 2 of your friends never works either. How does a 2 trillion market cap software company have a system held together by duct tape and cardboard? It&apos;s like it just doesn&apos;t add up. All I had to do was log in on the old phone, I&apos;m glad I never had to go through your gauntlet of hell and misery. Ur the goat for sticking thru it though

  There are a lot of people on more “unsavory” forums who are in the business of unbans, OG usernames, banning other accounts etc that might have been able to get your account back for you, I’ve seen them unban way crazier people. That being said it’s wild that you have to resort to vigilante justice to get an account back.

  A german finance yter also sued Meta cuz they kept showing scam ads to his viewers and he also won, its crazy how huge companies cant properly program their main consumer product properly, they only focus on B2B and the consumers watching instagram for example are literally just their product for the B2B services.<br><br>Edit: Its interesting.. you can literally see where they spend their time by going on their websites, if it looks very well thought out, works smoothly and doesnt look like a 3yo drawing thats what they focus on, the worse it gets the more invisible it is in the company. Example, /business/instagram has animations all over the place to the point I think a team of designers put a lot of thought into what exact bezier curve to use for the animations. Then you click on &quot;for creators&quot; and there are zero animations, poor contrast, every subpage has the same layout, it doesnt look bad overall but you could have vibe-coded this in an hour. But when you go on any ads subpage, each has a different layout but says the same thing, everything basically custom made to convince old business people to use their ads service.
