  I find it so interesting that Bear is Nikki's childhood friend but he never stopped to question her behavior. Everyone else was uncomfortable and suspicious because she was acting nothing like who she was before. She abandons her dreams, her whole life revolves around him, etc. And he doesn't stop at all? It's just so selfish it drives me up the wall.

  When l saw the movie l overheard a young guy who had just seen it: &quot;Nikki really got the short straw. All her friends are murdered. She got taken over out of nowhere and now she&apos;s probably going to spend the rest of her life in jail.&quot; <br>Neatly sums it up.

  I LOVE this movie and have so many thoughts. One is that the wish is ambiguous: it’s actually ”I wish Nikki Freeman loved me more than <b>anyone</b> in the fucking world”, which can be interpreted as ”out of all the people in the world who love someone, Nikki will love me the most”. It’s not based on Nikkis emotional capacity but on humanity as a whole. Then the wish version has to figure out what that even is: what is the most a human can love another human? No wonder the real Nikki suffers, and wish Nikki acts like that.

  His cat&apos;s death directly foreshadows Bear&apos;s demise, he drops dead in the exact same spot with the exact same cause

  I love the fact that Curry Barker confirms that the one wish willow isnt inherently cursed, that the curse comes from a wish that is in itself a cursed wish to make, it reflects the person who made it

  Even with the narrative that bear didn&apos;t think the wish was real, if i&apos;m kissing someone (that just said their father died mind you) and they just suddenly jolted away from me horrified, i would think they might not be all there mentally. Even in a generous, non supernatural, view of this movie, Bear is taking advantage of a clearly mentally ill girl that needs intensive therapy

  One of the most brilliant things on that movie is using the dad to say that Bear didn&apos;t knew her at all, everybody tells him that Nikki and her father weren&apos;t close, and he didn&apos;t knew that.

  In the scene where Nikki was in the corner, crying “like it isn’t mutual” I thought for a split second, if Bear truly loved her, why didn’t he spring up out of the bed and comfort her? I thought that if my wife was having a breakdown in the middle of the night, that would be the first thing I would do. He did not love her. He loved the idea of her.

  Even if Nikki dates Bear of her own choice, it still wouldn’t work out. Even if Sarah and Bear dated, it still wouldn’t work out. Bear is a very emotionally-stunted unempathetic person who will mistreat any potential partners. The whole ordeal with the One Wish Willow just revealed what he truly is to the real Nikki and I don’t think he’d actually act any differently with anyone else.

He did NOT have to &quot;trigger&quot; Nikki like that. It caused a GIANT chain reaction and could have been avoided by him taking a drink, and if questioned, say what it was but that you aren&apos;t going to do it because Nikki isn&apos;t on his left.

  I loved the make-up they used for nikki when shes standing in the dark corner. She looks like the spirit of a woman scorned in a classic Japanese film. Especially when her voice starts to shake.<br><br>I think there is something that really scares men about the sorrofull spirit of a woman scorned. It&apos;s something you see in all the worlds folklore.
