I remember a wedding story where the Maid of Honor called all the other women invited to wear their wedding gowns, and the bride wore a different color. When the MIL swept in to take attention, nobody noticed or cared.

7:51 btw this is the traditional duty of the Maid of Honor. Throw red wine on anyone other than the Bride, Groom, or flower girls who turns up in white

"I didn't obey this officer's legal orders because he's a [slur]" Yeah, that'll help your case, not only are you confessing to a crime, you're also making it clear that you were personally targeting this officer.

Edit: do you think the boyfriend is dating a cop just so his mom gets arrested for her nonsense?

I attended a friend's wedding (not a position, just a guest). But yeah, his mother tried stealing attention from the bride by wearing a wedding dress that was FAR more elegant and (presumably) expensive than what the bride had - a double whammy, considering MIL had told bride/groom that she couldn't afford to help, but then proceeded to show up like THAT.

Anyhow, people were freaking out when I heard one of the best lines ever from the best man - "You wore a wedding gown, like a bride, to your son's wedding? Sounds like you have some repressed incestual urges you should seek therapy to resolve..." Shut down EVERYTHING she tried to do, since she couldn't continue on her plan, as that would be seen as trying to 'steal' her son from his bride. She couldn't deny it, as that would be seen as like "methinks thou doth protest too much", or anything else. Literally all she could do to save face was to slink away back to the hole she came from. Granted, that wasn't the end of it. but at least they got their wedding in peace after that.

The "blood is thicker than water" people conveniently forget how the full saying goes and what it actually means. It goes as follows: “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.” Which basically means the bonds we choose to make are more important than those that were sort of forced upon you.

My ex noped out of my daughter's life when I was still pregnant. I figured he wouldn't even tell his mother about me/the baby, so I tracked her down to see if she would like to be in her granddaughter's life. Daughter is 9 years old now. Sperm donor still has nothing to do with her, but grandmother calls often.

The MIL who came back 25 years later is so unhinged to me. And leaving with "A man alone can't raise a proper human being!" THEN WHY DID YOU LEAVE YOUR GRANDSON ALONE ALL THESE YEARS??? EVEN BY HER OWN LOGIC SHE OR HER DAUGHTER SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE!

That story about the MIL who came to visit after TWENTY FIVE years pisses me off so much. If you want to be treated like a grandmother, maybe BE A GRANDMOTHER. And the absolute hypocrisy of saying that her daughter was “too young,” when OP was literally younger. Why can’t people like this just be reasonable??

49:23 I did NOT expect the FIL to pole dance and kill it! 😂 That is so funny, wholesome and awesome! Old man has still got it in spades! Honestly, great vibes all around.
