  Ellie was just a passive aggressive meddler. She pretended to be so accepting, but clearly sabotaged as much as possible. &nbsp;I recognize that behavior. &nbsp;Hello, MIL!

  First story:<br>My grandmother and grandfather did something similar to my parents on their honeymoon. Except my grandparents drove up the next day to my parent’s honeymoon suite in a completely different state. My grandmother was knocking on their cabin door and said “SURPRISE!” and snapped a photo of both of them half naked 😬😬 my dad was apparently livid and yelled at both of them to get away. My mom was horrified and embarrassed because she was very conservative. My dad smashed my grandma’s camera because he knew she would show everyone his half naked bride. Their relationship hasn’t been the same since.

  Keeping the peace (in 97% of cases) makes me itch. STOP IT. Keeping the peace is giving an abuser (of various kinds) permission to treat you like trash for their own benefit.

  My MIL is horrible to me. What’s worse, she and my brother in law, equally toxic, were my son’s first bullies. It’s my fault they don’t have a relationship with him, though. Apparently I have a “warped perception of reality.” How dare I protect my son, right?! These videos make me feel so much better about my no contact decision, and really help me not to take their poison personally. Thank you, Charlotte!

Give me your phone or you will have to wait outside until the photos are done.” And do not move until she gives you the phone or removes herself.

  So, my MIL tried to invite a bunch of people we didn’t know to our wedding. Our rule for her was they weren’t invited if we hadn’t heard their name in the last 6 mos. She was mad, but she got over it.
